Why do people make Print Requests on GIF ANIMATIONS?

Haha it's summer and.. raining o/. And I'm sitting alone at home, playing Witcher and LotRO. I've got a job at a small website company, which I like a lot, but I've also got a lot of free time (don't have to go to the office every day, for now). Should be working on a ton of illustrations and some commercial animations, but for now I'll allow myself a bit of respite.


Went with neesa to my folks' summer house for Midsummer, we took loads of silly photographs and watched way too much Reaper and Supernatural (not such a wise move, since the house is creepyshit incarnate).

If you don't count the school and work-related stress, my life's been pretty quiet, both in terms of productivity and socialising. I just wish the weather'd get better so I could, oh, go out?

Mmm we've finally got a proper Painter course at school, and I'm very thrilled! Though I should be spending this entire week making book illustrations and cover.. and I should probably read the books in question as well. I hope I'll get something done that I could upload here as well (if not, then I'll at least put stuff in my sketchblargh).

Otherwise I've been rather busy with school and work; I'm holding nice little (manga) drawing courses for young people, now at Vantaa Kuviskoulu and later again in Espoo. It's a fun job, though the kids always manage to drain all my energy (and creativeness, when someone 10 years younger draws better than I do xD!). What I'd really love to hold, though, would be some kinda basic digital drawing and colouring course for kids from 11-15, but I don't think normal schools here have the resources ;_;.

Also, I think I finally kinda managed to dramawhore myself out from Guild Wars . I'm playing LotRO now and also leaning a bit towards the game that starts with W... gods forbid I never get that desperate though. And I really should finish the Zelda game tir-ri so graciously let me borrow. But I'm le busyyy! And I wanna play D&D again soooooooon~!

Been a while, eh? Now I've finally got a bit of time for myself; I've mostly just spent it sleeping. I sleep from 4am to noon, go about for a few hours and then fall asleep again. Luckily I don't have much to do anyway. I just wish I could stay home for more than 1 day at a time, so I'd finally have time to try out the Twilight Princess game that tir-ri so graciously let me borrow.

Last 3 days were made of t3h awsum though ; went to my folks' cottage (more like a rural roleplayer heaven) to play Dungeons&Dragons with the-murdellicious, amrrr and Perynne. It was largely made of t3h awsum, t3h epic and lots of creepy!shit. Expect to see some absurd character art in the future (if not here, then at least in my sketchblog).

I also rearranged my dA gallery, now there are some categories for the different stuff I've done.

Christmas was ok; I spent more money on presents for other people than myself than I had in many years. I didn't even buy myself anything . What I did get was this though:

24" screen to accompany my old 19", Guild Wars looks sweet. Dual-screens ftw.

Actually, I just want to play Baldur's Gate all over again. Again. Maybe I'll just do that now->

I got my subscription back, so now I can update my journal again . It's been almost a year, after all. Expect to see more entries, submissions and activity in the near future.

What actually inspired me to get back my subbie was the fact that I'm still on a sugar high from last weekend; I spent 4 days with sakur on the Anime-lehti stand at Helsinki Book Fair, and I drew a huge bunch of sketches (and some finished pieces as well) and I'm on an all-time art high now. I feel SUPER motivated and want to draw until my fingers turn blue. I also met a lot of young and promising artists there, and it was fun just chatting with random strangers; sakur and I even ended up on TV and the newspaper Kaleva. Ego boost?

Otherwise I'm completely swamped by school, work and schoolwork; haven't even had time to play at all anymore. Oh well, at least I'm doing something creative.
